Tips for Filling Out Parking Permit Applications

  • The student should fill out the application & use their Minnetonka school email (i.e 123456@mtka.org)
  • Make sure to “submit” the application and get a receipt. You will receive a receipt for your application.
  • Have the full name and student ID of all carpool partners.
    • We use your students' Minnetonka school email to contact you- if it’s wrong you won’t get notified
  • Valid Driver's License-
    • All participants must have a valid license by Sept 1st.
    • Permits do not count.
  • If Carpooling:
    • List all licensed 11th/12th grade drivers.
    • Freshman & Sophomores do not count toward the carpool.
    • If you don’t have any other drivers- means you are applying for a solo pass.
  • Juniors who apply for a solo pass:
    • are not eligible &  will be declined.
  • Students can only be listed on one (1) parking permit application.
  • If you are on a permit- you can NOT ride the bus and will be removed from the bus list.
  • Change your mind on who to carpool with?
    • Submit a new application & send us a note with who the new carpool person is.
    • Make sure all parties are copied in the email (the new person you are carpooling with and the old person you are now NOT carpooling with)
  • Full time on-line students are not eligible for parking permits & can not be listed as a carpool member.
