Benjamin Mendoza, a fourth grade student from Scenic Heights Elementary, is raising awareness, money and supplies for Ukrainian refugees using his love of basketball. So far, more than $4,000 has been raised, and more than 25 basketball players are participating in the cause.

This past July, Scenic Heights teacher Amy Altenburg organized a team from the Minnetonka community and beyond to help turn a space in the school forest into a hammock park for students to enjoy once the school year begins.
Join Minnetonka Schools for a special 2022 Celebration of Excellence awards program, honoring several of the District’s outstanding teachers, staff and community volunteers. The event will take place on Thursday, May 12 at the Arts Center at Minnetonka High School. All are welcome.
