In late January, Minnetonka students, teachers, staff, families and community members joined together to celebrate the Lunar New Year and welcome the year of the snake through the District’s Chinese New Year Celebration.
Wade Salvey from Scenic Heights Elementary successfully spelled “toorie” (a tassel on a Scottish bonnet) to win the competition. He will represent the Twin Cities at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland this May.
The voters of our school district said yes to approving our building bond referendum with 68.7% of the vote. We also had a School Board election this year, with three seats to be filled.
