Dream Days Fundraiser
What is Dream Makers & Dream Days?
For the last 15 years, the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation has hosted a fabulous and wildly successful fundraising event. The event is appropriately titled, Dream Makers, because the foundation makes the dreams of Minnetonka teachers and students a reality! The Foundation was able to provide $63,124 in teacher grants for this school year alone, and recently launched The Hub, encouraging creativity, collaboration and teamwork for all Minnetonka kids K-8.
Prior to the event, each Minnetonka school is tasked with providing a large item/basket for the event silent auction. School representatives collect money by offering a Dream Day - a day where students can participate in a school-wide activity to help fundraise for the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation.
This year's Dream Makers event will be held at the Minneapolis Event Center (formerly St. Anthony Main) on February 10th, 2018. It is a fabulously fun time, with an opportunity to bid on amazing items such as tickets to see Ellen! We would love to have Excelsior well represented by parents and supporters of our students! Tickets will go on sale in early January. Please consider joining the fun and attending! How you and your student can help:
- Students can participate in the first dream day – PAJAMA DAY - by bringing in a $2.00 donation on Friday, December 1st.
- Two weeks later, December 15th, students can participate in HAT DAY. Students should bring their contribution (cash preferred) in on Friday morning ($2 on Friday, December 1st and $2 on Friday, December 15th), and classroom teachers will collect money.
We are looking to raise $1,000 this year to be used for the Excelsior Elementary item(s) that will be included in the Dream Makers silent auction.
Thank you for supporting Minnetonka Public Schools!
