Celebrating Administrative Office Professionals 2022

Celebrating Administrative Office Professionals 2022

This week, from April 18-22, Minnetonka Schools celebrates all of the wonderful administrative office professionals who support the work and mission of our District. Administrative office professionals are often the first faces that students, families and staff see when walking into school buildings, and they play a key role in creating the positive and welcoming environment in every school building.

Debbie Guido, the Head Office Assistant at Clear Springs Elementary, has many different roles and responsibilities that come as a part of her job. “There is never a dull moment!” said Guido. “Even on a busy day, my job makes me happy. Every day I have a fun story to share with my family about my job and the happenings at school.”

From greeting everyone who goes in and out of the building and creating connections with students to helping answer questions and returning lost items to their owners, those working the front desk at any one of the district buildings are highly skilled at the multitasking that the job requires.

Nancy Bohac, the receptionist in the Main Office of the high school, has been working in the district for 25 years. “At a school with more than 3,500 students, I have needed to develop a wealth of knowledge over a wide range of topics in order to answer the questions that come up each day,” said Bohac. “A part of my job that I love is when I get a chance to talk to a student waiting to get picked up and get to know a little bit about them. It is always great to make those little connections and witness the growing opportunities for each student to belong somewhere.”

For all that they do, we are grateful for each one of our administrative office professionals! In honor of Administrative Office Professionals Appreciation Week, be sure to thank the office professionals in your building for all of their dedication to supporting Minnetonka’s students and families.
