Lindsay Richins

Lindsay Richins brings nearly 20 years of experience working and volunteering with special populations to her role as Program Manager for Project SOAR. She uses her passion for inclusion of all abilities to create recreational, leisure and continued learning experiences for adults with disabilities. Project SOAR is a consortium program and Lindsay is fortunate to work with community education teams from Minnetonka, Hopkins, Wayzata, and St. Louis Park schools to offer programs. She oversees all the aspects of Project SOAR from customer service, marketing, and planning to budgeting and leading events & classes. Lindsay is committed to making connections within our community and has formed partnerships with many organizations and other inclusion groups to provide the best resources and activities for SOAR participants. In 2021 she earned her CPP through LERN. Lindsay was recognized as Program Manager of the Year for Minnetonka School’s Celebration of Excellence in 2022.

Prior to her role with Project SOAR, Lindsay worked for five years as a Recreation Coordinator for Bloomington Park and Recreation focusing on inclusion services and arts/crafts summer programs.

She has also worked for several YMCA organizations in the areas of aquatics, sports, afterschool programs and community service. Lindsay also served as the Outdoor Skills Director for Scouts of America. In each of her roles, Lindsay places a high priority on implanting adaptations, so programs are accessible to all.

Lindsay earned a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management and 2 associate degrees (one in Human Resource Management and one in Music Performance on the violin) from Brigham Young University of Idaho. Lindsay was head of her universities volunteer group with Southeastern Idaho Special Olympics and coached many seasons of intermural college swim team. Lindsay lives in Shakopee with her husband, 2 children and dog.
