The Committee on Student Belonging will serve as a resource in the identification of areas for improvement, reinforcement and celebration of success in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion and excellence. It will also engage the Minnetonka Schools community in providing oversight on the District’s progress toward its Commitment to Excellence and Belonging.

The current committee is based around Minnetonka High School, but future committees are being planned for other grade levels and will meet regularly. Membership consists of District staff, parents, MHS students and community partners. A list of members is not publicly available, as minors are members of this group and are asked to share their personal stories.

Future Committees

A Committee on Student Belonging will also be developed for the middle school level and for the elementary school levels. The District will begin work on establishing those two committees and will select committee members that together reflect a broad range of diversity and experiences.
