If you're new to Minnetonka Schools (resident family or approved open-enrolled family), you may be asking yourself what to do next. Below we've compiled a list of helpful resources for parents of students new to Minnetonka, whether kindergarten, elementary school, middle school or high school.

Online Enrollment Steps

Resident families and open-enrolled families need to follow these steps to enroll online:


Kindergarten

  • Kindergarten Options. A great resource including contact info for all six of our elementary schools, language immersion options and a link to the kindergarten brochure.
  • Transportation. Information on transportation options, online payment and registration and requests for daycare, alternate or open enrollment transportation.
  • Early Childhood Screening: This screening is required by the State of Minnesota for all preschool-aged children (ages three to five), before entering public school. If you have already completed screening through Minnetonka, you are all set! If this screening was completed through another district, please upload your child’s Screening Summary when you submit the birth certificate and proof of address during registration. If your child still needs to complete Early Childhood Screening, register here.
  • My SSO. This is a single sign-on portal that gives you easy access to password-protected online tools for both parents and students using a single username and password.
  • Computer/technology login information - student's username (called Other ID in Skyward) and student's password (called keypad # in Skyward).
  • District Calendar-at-a-Glance. A calendar featuring key dates throughout the school year, including first and last days of school and off days.
  • School Calendars. An online resource where you can download calendars for individual schools, or multiple schools if you have more than one student.
  • Explorers Club. High quality before and after school childcare programs for children ages three through fifth grade.
  • School Lunch Information. Helpful information from Nutrition Services, including menus, pricing, free and reduced-price options and online payments.
  • Update emergency contact information. Information on how to make changes to emergency contacts, email addresses, and cell and work phone numbers using Family Access.

Elementary

  • Elementary brochure. An online copy of the brochure detailing elementary school options.
  • Transportation. Information on transportation options, online payment and registration and requests for daycare, alternate or open enrollment transportation.

Middle school

  • Set up an appointment with a school counselor to discuss topics including academic schedules. For MME families, contact Donelle Wright at 952-401-5209 to schedule an appointment. For MMW, contact Lisa Wombacher at 952-401-5311.
  • Register for courses (Minnetonka Middle School West students only). MME Students contact Donelle Wright.
