International Baccalaureate (IB)

May 2024 Exams

AP and IB exams will take place at MHS.  Please see below for important exam reminders:

  • Please log-in to your Total Registration account and click on the “Student Testing Schedule” link to view your exam schedule. If you do not remember your login information, please use the links provided on the login page to request this information.
    • If you have more than one exam at the same time, please pay close attention as your exam schedule has been revised to resolve exam conflicts. NOTE: if you have two exams on the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, this is not an exam conflict. You will be able to take both exams on the same day.
  • Exam start times are subject to small changes as needed to mitigate exam conflicts. Check your schedule 24 hours before your exam to verify your start time. Room assignments will be posted in the AP/IB Exam Information Google Folder at least 24 hours before the exam. IMPORTANT: ONLY MHS students will be able to access room assignments. A Minnetonka Google Login is required to use this link - ROOM ASSIGNMENTS
  • If you have been approved for AP and/or IB exam accommodations, you should have received an email at your student email account on A[ril 4th. Please contact tyler.barthelemy@minnetonkaschools.org if you did not receive an email and you believe you have been approved for exam accommodations.
  • If you have an exam on a Wednesday, the exam will begin promptly at the scheduled time.  MAST does NOT affect exam start times!
  • Many afternoon AP and IB exams will run later than the regular school day. It is not unusual for an exam to end between 3:00 - 4:00 PM (with exam accommodations, sometimes later). Be sure to make arrangements for a ride home if necessary.
  • Students are responsible for reading all of the important information in the AP/IB Exam Information Google Folder, including the AP & IB Policy which outlines what to bring and what not to bring for exams.
  • Exam start times vary, so it is important to double-check your exam start times.
  • Get a good night of sleep and east a healthy breakfast!

About IB at MHS

The IB Diploma Programme at Minnetonka can be described as a smaller learning community of academically motivated students (check out their newsletter, at right). It is an all-inclusive, two-year curriculum that provides a deep, thought-provoking course of study in six areas through junior and senior year. You'll enroll in a core group of IB classes with other IB Diploma Candidates; however, you will still interact with other students enrolled in individual IB classes, fine arts, and after-school activities throughout all four years of high school.

The strengths of the program are its academic rigor and comprehensive curriculum enhanced by an inquiry into the theory of knowledge, research, creativity, action, service and a capstone extended essay.

A full description of each IB course is available in the Skipper Log Course Catalog.
