LEARN Program @ Cargill

The LEARN Program (Transition Plus @ Cargill) is focused on providing learning, career exploration and job skill development for young adults with disabilities through a school-to-work model that benefits the student intern with hands on learning.

The program's primary goal is to support learners in the process of exploring and defining their career path while developing entry-level job skills necessary for employment. This is done through the ‘real learning' experiences created within Cargill's varying departments.

The outcome: Upon graduation, students will be better equipped to implement their vocational plan through continued job training, post secondary education and/or entry level employment.

Phases - each intern has the potential of going through all three phases, or focusing on phase 1 & 2

1) Basic Job Skill Development
2) Career / Job Exploration
3) Extensive Job Training

A wonderful work experience for Transition Plus students who have applied, interviewed and qualified to intern at Cargill.
