Judy Erdahl Memorial Fund Award

Judy Erdahl Memorial Fund Award for Excellence in Elementary Education Fund
Named for former Early Childhood & Family Education (ECFE) coordinator and parent instructor, this fund awards a yearly grant of $500 to a district teacher or staff person who demonstrates a high commitment to child-centered excellence.

The fund was established in 2021 by the friends of Judy Erdahl to commemorate Judy's dedication to the ECFE program and families.  She was a champion for early childhood education, and for many years was an advocate and driving force to improve outcomes for people with metastatic breast cancer. Judy was the rare individual who used her personal story to inspire and motivate others. 

The award is given each May at the district's Celebration of Excellence award night. Teacher/staff nominations are accepted by the district every February.
