Sponsorship Opportunities

Becoming a Contributing Sponsor

Contributing sponsors for Tour de Tonka get excellent mileage from their contributions of goods or services. Each contributing sponsor is recognized:

  • On the Website
  • Inside participant packets
  • On signs throughout Tour de Tonka headquarters

Donated door prizes from sponsors are very much appreciated by the riders. After a long day of biking, the participants come to the finish line and, after enjoying a few snacks, head straight to the door prize tables to see what they may have won. In 2016, there was a door prize for every 25 riders - an amazing ratio!

We certainly hope to have the same wonderful assortment of door prizes in 2017. If you are interested in promoting your business by donating an item or items to the event, please contact Louise Bagshaw at 952-401-6828 or louise.bagshaw@minnetonkaschools.org.

Becoming a Major Sponsor

Major sponsors for Tour de Tonka are limited per year. The major sponsors enjoy the benefit of having their name showcased:

  • On all participant and volunteer t-shirts
  • The main page on the website
  • On event posters and flyers
  • Throughout event headquarters on the day of the ride
  • On all e-mail blasts to current and past riders
  • On the Tour de Tonka Arch at Minnetonka High School

The major sponsors also are prominently placed on the Tour de Tonka flier that is mailed to past participants and distributed to businesses and at biking events in Minnesota.

Being one of the major sponsors for the Tour de Tonka is a sought-after sponsorship. First right of refusal will be given to the previous year's sponsors. If you would like further information about being a major sponsor, please contact Tim Litfin, Director of Minnetonka Community Education, at 952-401-5043 or tim.litfin@minnetonkaschools.org.
