No. Just do the ones you feel safe doing and that are fun for you. We actually prefer you skip an obstacle if you feel you do not have the capability to complete it safely.

The full course consists of 2 laps that are each 1.7 miles (2.7km), making the full course 3.4 miles (5.4km). The Mini Mud Run is about 1/4 mile.

Yes. All family members (or family with friends) with groups of four or more participating in the Minnewashta Mud Run may register as a group and receive a 10% discount prior to late registration. For families or groups smaller than four, you may still register with a team name, but there will be no discount.

Regular registration closes on July 6th. You may do a late registration online through July 12th or the day of the race. Please note, t-shirts and race bags are given on a first come, first serve basis for late registrations.

Yes, you can register the day of the race. We do encourage registering prior to race day to avoid long lines on race day. Late registrants receive a race bag and T-shirt on a first come, first serve basis as we will have a limited supply the day of the event.

Yes. Every participant needs to pay the registration fee and sign a waiver before being allowed to participate.

Yes! We encourage it. Let your imagination run wild. We will have prizes for best costumes, including individual and team/family categories. Costumes will be judged during the closing ceremony.

Minnewashta Mud Run reserves the right to delay the start of the event or to cancel the event. The safety of all participants is our primary concern. While we recognize the aspirations and commitment of those that have prepared for the event, we will make decisions about the event based on the participation population as a whole. Conversations that could lead to the cancellation of the event will be made in cooperation with local law enforcement. In the event of a forced cancellation of Minnewashta Mud Run, the financial impact on the event would be the same as if it were held. Refunds or future credits will not be given if the event is cancelled.

In the event of inclement weather, we are reserving Sunday, July 16th as a make-up day for the event.

The mud is spread throughout the course in the form of pits that racers can choose to splash in or skip if they wish. Since our run is family friendly, our challenges score higher on the fun factor and lower on the risk factor.
