Minnewashta Mud Run - 2020 Event Cancelled

Warm wishes from Minnetonka Community Education (MCE) to you and to your family. I hope you are getting outside for walks, runs and bike rides. One good thing happening right now is that many families are certainly outside exercising and enjoying this great spring Minnesota weather.

In partnership with Carver County Parks, MCE has made the decision to cancel the July 11th Minnewashta Mud Run due to the COVID-19 pandemic as safety for our community is our first priority.

Thank you for all that you have done for this great event by participating. I also want to extend a thank you to our hundreds of volunteers who help make this event the great event that it is each year. We need you and we can’t do it without you. An additional big thank you to our supportive sponsors who come back year after year. They have community in mind as they too love what this unique event does for so many. Thank you!

Thank you for your past participation and your understanding. I will be here with my great staff waiting for you one year from now. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, July 10, 2021.

People of all ages are welcome to join in the event, held at beautiful Lake Minnewashta Regional Park on July 11. Choose to run the whole 3.5-mile mud run as a timed race or opt to take shortcuts with the ‘just have fun’ option. The course has fun, safe and family-friendly obstacles, including the limbo, crazy maze, hay bale climbing, giant waterslide, sandcastle building … and don’t forget the mud! Even little ones can take part in the ¼-mile Mini Mud Run.

The Chanhassen Fire Department will be there to hose you off at the finish. Join in face painting, dance to music and enjoy other activities, too.

The 8th annual Minnewashta Mud Run will be held on July 11. This is a family-friendly event with events for everyone from small children to adults of all ages and abilities.
