MCE Scholarships

Minnetonka Community Education offers scholarships for youth that can be used towards enrichment, recreation and music programming.

Exclusions: Explorers, Preschool & ECFE. See information at the bottom of this page for these programs.

In order to receive a scholarship, students must meet the Scholarship Qualifications below.

You may fill out the application form at-home via the links below, or in-person at the Minnetonka Community Ed Center (4584 Vine Hill Road).

The form may be returned via email (community.ed@minnetonkaschools.org) or dropped off at the Minnetonka Community Ed Center. Once received, an MCE staff member will reach out to you with next steps.

Scholarship Qualifications

Scholarships are awarded in the amount of 75% of the class fee, up to a maximum of $125 per child, per school year. This $125 may be used to pay for one class or multiple classes and must be used at the time of registration. (Example: Class fee is $100; family pays $25, scholarship covers $75. Student still has $50 left towards another class.)
Even though Minnesota students now qualify for free lunch, students seeking this youth scholarship will need to qualify for the free and reduced lunch program and live within the boundaries of the Minnetonka School District, or be a District student, to be eligible for this scholarship.

Each school year runs July 1 through June 30. The start date of the class determines the school year. Scholarships are per person, not per family.
A new form must be completed each school year.
