Josh Benesh

Josh is a Youth Program Manager with Community Education. He has taken on a variety of roles with Community Education in the recreation and enrichment departments and has an eager eye to provide programs that everyone can participate in and meets the needs of the community. From Rec Basketball to Glassblowing, he is sure to find a program that works for your lifestyle.

He studied at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and earned a his Bachelors of Science in Education with a minor in Health Promotion. He is a Certified Program Planner through LERN. Rec Basketball, Elementary Ski Club, Cheer, Archery, Run Clubs are just some of the programs that he oversees.

His role in managing recreation and enrichment programs for youth includes development of new programs and providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. This requires him to collaborate with community leaders, educators, and parents to gain understanding in to the interests of the Minnetonka Community. He works closely with his MCEC team to create programs that you are sure to love.

He comes from a background in youth development and spent 5 years working in childcare at the YMCA. Planning, program implementation & staff management were daily tasks along side providing a safe and fun environment for the kids. Prior to working with youth, he spent 2 years working in a nursing home providing calm and sensory driven activities for the residents. Throughout college he worked at a summer camp for people with disabilities in the Wisconsin Dells called Camp Wawbeek.

He takes great pride in his programs and building relationships with others in the community and invites all to say hello if you see him out in a school or during a program.
