MEET THE AMBRODAY FAMILY
The Ambroday family has participated in a variety of Minnetonka Community Education programs.
"Our family likes that our children get to experience a variety of high quality enrichment activities right after school without the need for parents to transport them to another location. There are many opportunities to try new classes and to have new experiences."
MEET THE BRANAND FAMILY
The Branands are volunteers and active participants in many of our Community Ed programs. Bradley has participated in volleyball, and both Bradley and Sydney have taken part in Tonka Rec Basketball.
We are grateful to families like the Branands, whose commitment and enthusiasm help make our events and programs a success!
MEET THE TAN FAMILY
Selah (8th grader at MME) and Dashiell (6th grader at MME) have participated in a variety of MCE programs including Ski & Snowboard Club, Tennis, Chess and the Tonka Youth Triathlon. As a family, they have participated in the Tour de Tonka.
MEET MILES
Miles is a 4th grader at Deephaven Elementary School and has participated in the Tonka Youth Triathlon for the past two years. Miles placed 1st in his division in last year’s event! His favorite thing about competing in the Youth Triathlon is the biking leg of the race. Miles has participated in other community ed activities including soccer, basketball, flag football, STEAM Team Club and the Tonka Trail Trot.
MEET RUBY
Ruby is a 9th grader at MHS and has been participating in community ed archery classes since 2021. Ruby is currently part of the Competition Archery Team. Ruby enjoys the social aspect of archery and getting better at achieving her goals. In 2023, she lettered in archery and earned the Robin Hood award for highest score (284 out of 300) for the 2022-2023 season. She has also won four awards/medals at various MN tournaments and was named the 2023 Inspirational Archer of the year.
MEET LOU
Lou is a long-time volunteer for Tour de Tonka, Fall de Tonka, the Youth Triathlon and more! Lou is also part of the MCE Advisory Council. This group provides input on current and potential programming and on community needs and interests.
MEET VIKTORIA
Viktoria is a 6th grader at Minnetonka Middle School East. She took 1st place in the 2nd Annual Tonka Top Chef Competition for her Yin and Yang crêpe creation that included a sweet crepe with condensed milk and raspberries, and a savory crepe with mushrooms and sour cream. Viktoria’s favorite thing about the competition was seeing what other contestants came up with for their crepe creations!
MEET MAGGIE
“Dance fitness classes provide such a fun platform to get a great workout, dance a variety of styles and engage with others. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of everyone dancing together. It is so rewarding to see the progress in learning a new step or a new song, it’s so uplifting and powerful!“
