The Minnetonka School Board seeks a dynamic and inspirational leader who embraces the mission and vision of the Minnetonka Public School District to ensure all students envision and pursue their highest aspirations while serving the greater good. To lead this District, known for its academic excellence and child-centered, world-class education, the ideal candidate will have a strong record of accomplishments as a school superintendent, a distinctive background in instruction, outstanding communication skills, a collaborative philosophy and the ability to involve all stakeholders in the process of growth and change. The current superintendent will retire, with distinction, after more than 21 years of leading Minnetonka Public Schools.

 Minnetonka Public Schools is a state- and nationally-recognized public school district located in Minnetonka, Minnesota. It serves more than 11,000 students in grades preK-12, and its schools are consistently rated among the top in the state and nation. Minnetonka Public Schools offers students a rich academic curriculum, as well as a highly-regarded and award-winning arts program. With a wealth of signature programs, including K-12 Chinese and Spanish language immersion, Minnetonka Research, VANTAGE Advanced Professional Studies, MOMENTUM Design and Skilled Trades, TONKA ONLINE, Advanced Learning programs and coding that begins in Kindergarten, Minnetonka Schools offers students a variety of pathways where they can pursue their interests and build their future. Parents are pleased with the District, with 94% rating its education as either excellent or good, and the parents of more than 3,800 students choose to send their children to its schools through the Minnesota Open Enrollment statute. Students thrive in the District—86% percent of its graduates are college-bound, and of the most recent graduating class, 85% took at least one AP or IB course and exam during their high school careers.
