Parent Involvement

Minnetonka Public Schools recognize that parents are an integral part of students’ educational programs. There are many ways for parents to be involved in our schools and programs. Schools communicate with parents regularly via newsletter, website, curriculum nights, and PTO meetings.

In addition, Title I teachers hold formal parent-teacher conferences, as well as Title I parent information sessions to discuss the program and parent involvement. Title I teachers also provide ongoing communicating by phone and email as needed.

Minnetonka Public Schools Title I Parent Involvement Plan

Minnetonka Public Schools are committed to working within the guidelines set out by the School Board, as well as abiding by the required Title I components for parent involvement.

Neither home nor school can do the job alone. Parents play an extremely important role as children’s first teachers. Their support for their children and for the school is critical to their children’s success at every step along the way. Each Title I Parent will be asked to sign the Title I Parent School Compact, a commitment document signed by the parent, student, and Title I teacher that ensures all members are doing their part so the student can improve.
