MME Student Places 1st at You Be the Chemist State Tournament

Four Minnetonka Middle School East and seven Minnetonka Middle School West students participated in the You Be the Chemist State Tournament held on April 20th.

Special Congratulations go to Benjamin Yang who won 1st place, Jerry Zhang who won 2nd place, Gautam Venkatesh who won 3rd place and Jenny Quan who won 4th place. We also wish to congratulations to all the MMW students who participated; Elliot Yeshaya, William Anderson, John Hultgren, Annalise Smith, Krish Inba Rajashankar, Zachary Steingas, Zotiy Wallace.

Benjamin will advance to the National Competition which will take place in June in Washington, DC. Whether they came in first or thirtieth, all the MME and MMW students walked away winners. Congratulations to all our students!

You be the Chemist is a unique competition that tests students on both their chemistry knowledge and real-world application of that knowledge. This is Minnetonka Middle School West's third year competing in the You Be the Chemist Challenge and Minnetonka Middle School East's first.
