Donna and Pennie

How far will you go for art? Donna Bernstrom decided a 30-mile drive was worth it. After taking a watercolor class with Barbara Boulka in South Washington County, Donna chose to seek out more classes with the instructor. Donna has since talked her friend Pennie into joining her, and attending the class together has become a weekly tradition.

Four years and hundreds of miles later, Donna is still learning. "I look at the world around me differently, especially in terms of light and color."

When asked what she likes best about the class Donna has a hard time narrowing it down. "I like the instructor, the classmates, the Deephaven Room at MCEC, lunches together, the Minnetonka staff, the affordability of this class, even the ride from Woodbury!"
