Superintendent Law Elected to AASA Executive Committee

Superintendent David Law has been elected to the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Executive Committee, where he represents school districts in the states of Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

AASA is the national association for school superintendents and educational leaders, and in this position, Superintendent Law joins the organization’s 22-member executive committee, elected by AASA’s governing board to represent each region of the country. Superintendent Law previously served on the AASA governing board.

The committee meets quarterly and conducts the ongoing business of the organization. Superintendent Law will represent and advocate for educational priorities with national legislators, among other responsibilities.

“We are pleased to welcome our newest AASA governance members, who will provide outstanding, future-focused guidance to this organization and the nation,” said AASA Executive Director Daniel A. Domenech in an AASA press release. “AASA is proud to continue our strong tradition of superintendents electing their peers who embody exemplary qualities of leadership in their school districts, communities and most importantly, the children they serve.”

“It’s an honor to be selected to serve as part of the The AASA Executive Committee,” said Superintendent Law. “I look forward to the opportunity to elevate our region’s voice in national conversations and to continue to connect with legislators and decision-makers about ways to  maximize opportunities for students.

New executive committee members serve three-year terms that began on July 1, 2022.
