More than 2,700 parents shared their experiences with Minnetonka Schools through the annual parent survey, which was administered from mid-May to mid-June of 2021. The responses, 65% from resident families and 35% from open-enrolled families, help the District to gather important data about what is going well and about the ways Minnetonka Schools can continue to improve.

Academics
Overall, 94% of parents who responded to the survey rated the education provided by Minnetonka Schools as excellent or good, with 65% saying 'excellent', and 94% said the community receives a good value from its investment in local public schools.

Middle school parents gave all subject areas—from Chinese to FACS to STEM—strong support, with an average of 94% satisfied with their child's experience. At MHS, 93% of parents, on average, were satisfied with the instruction in all subjects offered—from music to tech ed to AP/IB to science to language arts.

Technology
The survey also asked questions about students' technology use in learning. Sixty-six percent of elementary parents said the iPad works well for their child's learning, and at the middle school level, 71% percent of parents said the iPad works well for their child's learning.

School Culture and Communication
Parents showed strong support for Minnetonka teachers, with 98% of preschool parents, 97% of elementary parents, 94% of middle school parents and 92% of high school parents sharing that teachers really cared about their child.
