Our courses, our teachers, our high standards
All Tonka Online courses are taught by experienced Minnetonka teachers. In fact, most teach the same class both online and in a Minnetonka High School classroom. Each course is designed specifically for online learning and meets the highest quality curricular expectations of the Minnetonka School District.
Make your personalized, four-year plan possible
By taking advantage of Tonka Online courses, you can creatively map a four-year plan that helps you meet graduation requirements, pursue your interests, and make time in your schedule for signature programs like VANTAGE, IB or Minnetonka Research. In the summer, you can enroll in an optional, pre-AP course that will prepare you for the rigor of AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP Chemistry or AP U.S. History. We recommend you meet with your school counselor to discuss how Tonka Online courses can play a role in helping you achieve your goals.
What Tonka Online students are saying
"The feedback and ongoing encouragement was very helpful, especially while trying to complete a course during a short, busy time period!"
"I was super nervous about taking a class like this online, as I have taken one other online course (not through tonka) where there was no teacher and there was zero motivation to keep up with work. This course was the opposite! I felt like I really had a teacher who was engaged in the process of learning, who would send supplemental items if interested, and would communicate about class topics in a way that totally worked for an online course. I learned a lot and had fun at the same time!"
"My teacher really tried to make a connection with us, I feel like if I had a question she was always quick to respond. She gave a lot of helpful feedback on assignments and tests - sometimes even more than you would get in a brick and mortar class."
"I loved how it was easy to know where the assignment was and how the course was very organized."
