Internet Information Links
  • Hennepin County Library - The TeenLinks site of the Hennepin County's E-Library features the most extensive array of sources and materials available in our area. Articles from encyclopedias, newspapers, and magazines are available to be downloaded. Other resources include research guides, search engines, as well as direct access to the Library Catalog.
  • World Book Online - World Book Encyclopedia Online has articles, pictures, and maps which can be downloaded and printed. One unique feature is a small library of statistical tables that provide visual illustrations of data.

Footnoting/Documentation
  • Citation Machine is an interactive Web tool designed to assist teachers and students in producing reference citations for crediting information from other people.
  • Once at Easybib, use the drop down menu at the top to select the type of source you are citing. Enter your citation information. Keep repeating this process for each item on your resource list. Your bibliography will be created and saved for you, but remember to write down your reference number to find it again later!

  • Infotrac - Indexed and full-text magazines, newspapers and reference books for current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.
  • EBSCO - Chose from four databases including Academic Search Premier designed specifically for academic institutions, is the world's largest scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for more than 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications.
  • ProQuest - Access to newspapers from 1970 to present. Includes full text of articles from the StarTribune newspaper, 1990 to present.
  • Consumer Health Complete provides access to evidence-based health reports, encyclopedias, pamphlets and reference books. The site also includes images, diagrams, videos and animations.
  • Points of View Reference Center contains a balance of materials from all viewpoints, including more than 1,200 main essays, leading political magazines from both sides of the aisle, newspapers, radio and TV transcripts, primary source documents and reference books.
  • Student Research Center - High School This site helps you search for articles from magazines, newspapers, books, biographies, media transcripts, country reports and primary source documents.
