KIPP Minnesota’s mission is, together with families and communities, to create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose. Volunteers work on seasonal projects and internships are available for our Summer Literacy Program. Program interns will support teachers with literacy for 2 hours and support/lead outdoor activities for one hour a day.

The RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) is a nonprofit organization committed to providing resources to families in need (west metro). The RAK stores and warehouses, provide high quality furniture, clothing, shoes, books, toys, and household decor. Volunteers can staff the stores and help sort items in their warehouses.

Skippers Supporting Sailors is a group that supports those service in the US Navy who are not getting enough mail and need a boost.

Tonka Youth Triathlon
This great community run, bike and swim event is open to all boys and girls in grades 2-8. the race takes place the first Saturday in May at Minnetonka Middle School East.

Tour de Tonka Tour de Tonka
Annual multi-distance bike ride through Lake Minnetonka Communities sponsored by Minnetonka Community Education, held the first Saturday in August. Over 600 volunteers are needed!
